Yay! my vip ltr came on 8/8 just before i was abt to leave home for the 14 dinner at suntec. I got accepted!! Need to attend a briefing next thu and will prbly start in sept.. the exact date's 12/9.. shld buy 4d.. hee (glad that the wait was not in vain.. recalled how my hands were shaking when i recognized the envelope.. yesh finally the correct one.. not bank, not cpf, but 'on government service'.. was i happy to see the bulky mail..)
14 dinner was 3/6.. 50% attendance.. haha.. but still thanks to yl (ah boy now.. no more uncle?!) who took the trouble to coordinate and make the meeting possible.. but hopefully next time we'll have a full attendance yah? well or at least 5/6.. dinner at kenny rogers was ok ba.. i was full cos of the iced tea.. din bother to finish the infamous moisty muffin that comes with watever set u order.. the baked fish was quite pathetic but i din bother to make noise (one small slice.. wat's so special abt it.. have to cost me $18? i rather have e fish at fish&co.) *heart pain pain* no more fish frm kenny rogers!!! ok lah, their cheese macarooni is just as good.. (wonder how they can keep the same menu for so many yrs... shld improve mah) another few yrs down the road.. they'll become the authentic k.r. with the same menu hanging over our heads as we queue to order.. and yup, recognized one of the waiters - an old man.. he was there since the last time i ate at k.r. .. and it was really long long time ago... i was still in yr1 then.. now i'm going to work..
had a slow walk and chat on our way to esplanade after the heavy meal.. quite packed cos a lot of pple were there for the fireworks...
next up.. violet's bdae! yeap.. simple celebration at bugis.. thanks violet for the bdae treat and other treats!! *hugz* paiseh.. no surprise.. (-"-)!
had my first up close contact with fireworks.. and i think they're the prettiest of all ndps though i've never really seen the previous eye to eye before.. cos it's our 40th celebration! was viewing the fireworks with a huge crowd of patriotic singaporeans at the esplanade.. so crowded and my foot kana attacked by a few shoes.. this guy just stepped on it and i thought he'll realise and lift his foot but he stepped even more onto my feet (i was wearing sandals!).. finally i patted him on the shoulder and pointed down to my foot... zzzzz no sorry? he gave me this funny stare and looked away.. (ya my fault for wearing sandals? or?) anyway, my nite wasn't to be spoilt just liddat.. neverending fireworks... left right centre! wow... all that came from a small yacht in the river.. amazing.. some of the sequence reminds me of those stuff u see under microscopes during my life sci gem.. but impressive to get to see em in the sky!
another good news! podeejay finally got their article up in ST and TNP! yay... now more pple know abt the podcasts.. (haven't read the article myself cos my home dun have st or tnp.. anyone got can show me? thnks! :P)
that's abt it.. now i'm also on the route to happiness.. yay.. and this is all just a small beginning..
